Bearing Face Turning Insert Introduction

Turning forming cutting tool is mainly process ring’s raceway,sealing groove, chamfer, oil groove, etc.. At present, the main bearing ring turning automatic line matching, for various types of deep groove ball bearings, tapered roller bearings, needle roller bearings, wheel hub bearing provided for molding tool.

Bearing face turning insert is made of cermet. It shows the advantage of high hardness, low density, low friction coefficient to steel, good anti-oxidization, anti-corrosion, anti-wear and anti-chemical material diffusion; Material hardness is around HRA93; bending strength is about 2200MPa. Cermet material now is popularly used in bearing machining, metal cutting, wear parts application

Normally the bearing face turning insert used is square insert with 4 cutting edges; it can be re-grind ed by 2-3 times to increase insert performance.
